NewFrac 1st Workshop (WS1) main objetive is the exchange and dissemination of the progress of the ESR projects and exchange with young researchers from industry and academia is promoted.
With the aim to bring all ESRs and their supervisorscloser and get them involved in the NEWFRAC network, achieve their strong commitment with the NEWFRAC objectives andfoster multiple interactions and collaborations between them, the workshop in the first year (WS1) will combine presentationsand discussions of the NEWFRAC objectives, structure and operation and IRPs and their interactions with exposure to current industrial problems.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS
1. Location in Seville
The workshop will be held at the School of Engineering of the University of Seville (ETSI). It is located on the Cartuja Island, in the northwest, close to the city center of Seville.

The building has many entrance doors all around it. The event will take place at the “Salón de Grado”, which is located on the 2nd floor/penthouse floor of the building. The Salon de Grado is only accessible from stairs or elevators located on the south part of the building, where the main door is located. We recommend you to follow google maps for access the first day, so you will not be misplaced or lost, as it will guide you to this main door and you will be able to get there without any problems.

Seville is a very comfortable city to walk but public transport is a great way to move too.

FROM THE AIRPORT/TRAIN STATION SANTA JUSTA
For those who arrive to Seville Airport, you have two options to get to the city centre or your hotel:
Taxi: fixed fee from the airport to any location within the city of Seville
Tariff 1, working day from 07.00-21.00h = 23€
Tariff 2, weekend or night = 25€

3. Accommodation in Seville
We recommend you to take a moment and decide depending on your preferences on budget, distance to the city centre, connection to the event location or any other factor you might find important.

As we were saying, ETSI is not far from the city centre or neighbourhoods such as Triana or Alameda de Hércules, and walking is a great option in Seville.

5. Accommodation in Madrid
For participants in the full version event, as for accommodation in Seville, we inform you about some hotels which might be a good option, but please feel free to check your most suitable offer.
We would recommend near by Atocha station as the bus for the industrial visits will pick you up nearby it. Probably at the recommended hotel TRYP Madrid Atocha, but still to be decided.
